WAITANGI TREATY GROUNDS  (WAITANGI, NZ)

The Waitangi Treaty Grounds are arguably the most significant historic landscape in New Zealand.

The new design of the gateway building, public toilet facility, and the visitors centre, have created a connection to the exterior landscape, by integrating natural simple materials, the invitation of natural light and the play between open and enclosed space. 

This project has won the NZIA - "New Zealand’s Institute of Architecture" Local Award.
